Climate & Environment Initiative (CEI)
CEI is the first initiative of its kind in Pakistan that explores legal solutions to the climate crisis and environmental issues facing the country and the rest of the world. Through the Initiative, we hope to collaborate with professionals across disciplines to promote a better understanding of climatic challenges and encourage action to address environmental threats in a manner that is proportionate to their scale and impact.
CEI is founded on the belief that strengthening the effectiveness of legal solutions will be key to conquering the world’s climate change and environmental problems. As a result, the research produced by the CEI follows developments in international climate change law and international environmental law, as well as domestic legal developments.
CEI works with the government, academics, civil society actors, and youth to promote indigenous engagement with climate change and environmental law in Pakistan and collaborates with individuals and organisations across the world to promote cross-border knowledge-sharing.
